I'm setting up a photo studio, here at Forward House, on Wednesday 9th September, 2026 and I'm offering everyone a free 15-minute headshot session.

No cost, no obligation. Just turn up, we'll take some shots, and you'll walk away having spent a quarter of an hour getting a decent photo instead of using that one from a works do in 2019.

Within a few days I’ll send you the best images. If you love any of them you can purchase. If none appeal then you have had the experience of a professional ‘studio’ headshot session absolutely free.

Why you need professional headshots

People judge you before you've said a word: a client googling you, someone deciding whether to connect on LinkedIn, a new starter working out who's who. All of it happens in under two seconds, based on nothing but your photo.

So is that phone selfie / cropped wedding photo /something from a works-do years ago doing you any favours -or is it making you appear unprofessional and forgettable?

A professional headshot fixes that. It says you take what you do seriously, before you've had the chance to prove it in person. And the truth is, in a room full of people with the same job title, the same pitch, the same LinkedIn headline - the one with the sharp, professional photo is the one people will most likely to trust.

"But I hate having my photo taken"

Fair enough, most people do. But that's where I come in. Putting people at ease is half the job. Hopefully, I'll have you laughing and forgetting the camera's even there within a couple of minutes. Everyone holds themselves differently, has angles they like and things they'd rather avoid, so we'll find what actually works for you rather than a one-size-fits-all pose. No pressure, no awkward silences, just a relaxed 15 minutes that's honestly more fun than you're expecting.

Even if you've already got a professional headshot, does it really reflect your personality? A more natural, engaging shot could be useful for different circumstances: the polished one for LinkedIn, something warmer for the "meet the team" page, maybe a different feel again for a bio or speaker profile. Different platforms sometimes call for a different version of you, so it's handy to have a small set rather than the same shot doing all the work.

A few days after the shoot I will email you low resolution images.  If you wish to purchase images I will send  an invoice.  On receipt of payment I will then email you the high resolution images.

  • The session is free. A 15-minute headshot session is offered at no cost and with no obligation to purchase.

  • Purchasing images. After your session, you'll be sent a link to view your photos. You're welcome to purchase one or more images at the prices listed. If you don't want to purchase any, that's completely fine.

  • Delivery. Purchased images will be delivered digitally within 2 days of your order.

  • Usage rights. Once purchased, you're free to use your images for personal and professional purposes (e.g. LinkedIn, company website, email signature, press). Images remain the copyright of the photographer; you're granted a licence to use them, not ownership of the copyright itself.

  • My use of images. I reserve the right to use any images taken during the session, whether purchased or not, for my own promotional purposes, including my website, social media, and portfolio. If you'd prefer your images not to be used in this way, just let me know and I'll respect that.

  • Rescheduling/cancellations. If you need to reschedule or cancel your slot, please give as much notice as possible so it can be offered to someone else.

  • Conduct. I reserve the right to decline to provide images for purchase in cases of inappropriate conduct during the session
